About FCCMA
The Florida City and County Management Association is a professional organization of practicing public administrators from throughout Florida local governments. The Association was chartered in 1946 as a non-profit corporation to elevate professionalism among the state's 465 cities and counties, and to promote the council-manager form of government as the form that advances the highest ethical and professional standards.

Foundations and individual contributors interested in assisting with our work are encouraged to contact us for an informational packet describing opportunities to help us build standards of professional competence and business management skills of the Florida Manager.

FCCMA Mission
The Florida City and County Management Association is committed to:
  • Supporting and promoting the council-manager plan as the form of local government that advances the highest ethical and professional standards;
  • Providing education, support, information and regulation to its members;
  • Fostering community awareness of the critical issues of governance; and
  • Maintaining linkages to the ICMA and other state and national organizations.

FCCMA Districts - As of May 2007

Redistricting is a result of an effort by the Membership Committee to better balance the numbers of members per district.  The committee also made an effort to make the districts as geographically compact as possibleThe Strategic Plan calls for re-evaluating the districts periodically to ensure this balance.

VALUE STATEMENTS:

Educate citizens on the merits of the Council / Commission-Manager Plan as the preferred means of providing professional local government management.
