The City of Daytona Beach Shores, known for its motto “Life is Better Here,” is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and visionary leader to serve as City Manager. Nestled on a beautiful Florida barrier island, Daytona Beach Shores offers year-round wonderful weather, a pristine coastal environment, and a high quality of life for its residents and visitors. The City Manager serves as the administrative head of the City government, appointed by and reporting directly to the City Commission. The Manager provides executive leadership, strategic planning, and operational oversight for all municipal functions to ensure the efficient delivery of services to the community. Daytona Beach Shores is supported by a stable, friendly, and professional staff, and City Commission meetings are typically short and non-controversial, reflecting a positive and collaborative civic environment.

The City of Daytona Beach Shores operates its own highly respected Public Safety Department, a fully integrated agency that provides both police, fire and emergency medical services. The City operates its own sewer collection system and pumps to a neighboring city for treatment. The beach itself is managed by Volusia County, allowing the City to focus on maintaining its beautiful community, responsive services, and high quality of life.

This is a full-time, exempt position with competitive compensation based on qualifications and experience.
