Position Summary:
The City of Tallahassee is seeking a skilled, experienced accountant to lead our centralized accounting team as the Manager – Financial Reporting. This position is responsible for general ledger, fund accounting, month-end and year-end close, preparation of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), implementation of Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) pronouncements, financial statement preparation, and coordination of the City’s annual external audit.

The incumbent in this position is retiring after successfully serving in this role since 2017. The successful candidate will inherit a well-established and experienced team. The City has received the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for 43 consecutive years—reflecting the City’s long-standing commitment to excellence in governmental financial reporting and accountability.
