About the Position
In this role, you will…

Conduct analysis to identify deficiencies in the human services system relating to homelessness and poverty in Sarasota County.
Assist with developing and implementing recommendations for improvement, including prevention and diversion programs for homeless individuals from other costly systems (i.e., criminal justice, behavioral health, and emergency medical services).
Provide technical assistance in the area of homeless and poverty prevention programs.
Create networks and coalitions to promote community collaboration, obtain public input, and enhance partnerships in the human services system, specifically in the area of homeless and poverty prevention.
Provide technical expertise to County Administration and act as a liaison with community leaders, funders, other government agencies, and provider agencies on homeless and poverty issues.
Participate in and assist the Suncoast Partnership to End Homelessness (SPEH), SPEH’s Continuum of Care Work Group, and Office of Housing and Community Development.
Author and manage homeless and poverty prevention grants, including but not limited to the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG).

About the Schedule
Full-Time, 40 hours per week.
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
As a reminder, all county employees are considered essential and must be prepared to protect and support the community and its citizens. Each employee, without exception, will have a duty assignment and be required to work during a disaster or declared emergency.

About You
To be considered for this role, you must have the following:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business, Finance, Planning, Industrial/Engineering Technology, or a job-related field, with 3+ years of professional job-related experience.

OR: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business, Finance, Planning, Industrial/Engineering Technology, or a job-related field, with 2+ years of professional job-related experience.

OR: 7+ years of professional job-related experience in the management of technical projects/programs and strategic planning.

Valid Florida driver’s license within 30 days of hire.

Master’s Degree in a job-related field.

Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.

Ability to lead strategic planning efforts, build diverse teams, and motivate others to achieve program goals.

Skilled at analyzing complex information, communicating technical and business concepts clearly, and managing program planning, outcomes, and budgets.

Physical Demands: Employees in this role must lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.

Starting Pay: $71,302.40/annually
